DRUMMING WORKSHOPS

Drumming workshops are our speciality.

Using traditional West African instruments
we will have your group grooving within
minutes!

We can cater for groups of up to 100.

We have run workshops for people aged between 3 and 96.

Whether it's purely for fun or with a specific purpose in mind we can design a programme to suit.

WE PROVIDE:

  • African drumming workshops
  • Improvisational 'drum circles'
  • Junk percussion workshops
  • Musical games sessions
  • Music leader training
  • Therapeutic drumming sessions

Workshops can be designed to:

  • Culminate in a performance or parade
  • Form part of a curriculum or course
  • Highlight or promote specific issues
  • Liven up your event

or be purely for enjoyment alone!
Community Sounds workshops are all about people.

Music has the potential to encourage a sense of belonging, boost self-esteem and promote empathy for others.

Our workshops aim to fulfill this by creating a relaxed, supportive and fun environment in which to play.

Workshops are tailored to suit individual groups and can take any form, from a one-off taster session to a whole series of workshops or a long term project.

We work with all age groups, and with people of all musical abilities.

We have gained a reputation for delivering programs that are adaptable and meet specific needs.

We work closely with other community arts professionals, and so we can offer a wide range of multi-arts programs.
